Fitting products specifically for QuickStep's Livyn vinyl flooring range — glue, two dedicated underlay options, and a purpose-made cutting tool.
Livyn Glue: Developed with Soudal
QuickStep Glue for Livyn Flooring was developed specifically for Livyn floors in partnership with adhesive specialist Soudal. It's an elastic glue that stays where it's spread rather than running, offering strong dimensional stability, and is applied with a notched trowel.
Comfort Underlay: The Recommended Companion
QuickStep Comfort Underlay for Livyn Flooring (1.15mm) is positioned by QuickStep as the recommended underlay for Livyn specifically, on the basis that the right underlay has a major impact on the final look, quality and comfort of the finished floor — worth pairing rather than substituting a generic underlay when fitting Livyn.
Heat Livyn Underlay: For Underfloor Heating
QuickStep Heat Livyn Underlay (1.5mm) is built for installing Livyn vinyl flooring over underfloor heating, adding extra insulation while also reducing impact sound — a relevant choice specifically where underfloor heating is part of the installation.
Vinyl Installation Tool
The QuickStep Vinyl Installation Tool is a tailor-made cutting tool for Livyn floors, designed for hard-to-reach places with extra hand protection for precise, safe cutting, and usable by both left- and right-handed fitters. Worth noting: as a special order item, it's non-refundable once ordered.
Common Questions About QuickStep Livyn Fitting Products
Do I need the dedicated Comfort Underlay, or can I use a general underlay?
QuickStep specifically recommends the dedicated Livyn underlay, noting it affects the final look, quality and comfort of the floor — worth using the matched product rather than a generic substitute.
When would I need Heat Livyn Underlay instead of Comfort Underlay?
Specifically when the installation includes underfloor heating — Heat Livyn Underlay is built to add insulation appropriate for that use, which the standard Comfort Underlay isn't designed for.
Is the Vinyl Installation Tool refundable if I order the wrong one?
No — it's a special order item and is non-refundable, so it's worth confirming compatibility with your specific job before ordering.
